from Australian subjects concerning relatives in Hong Kong

necessitated the institution of a "Casualty, Enquiry &

Information Bureau" section in this office and every scrap

of information concerning personnel in Hong Kong is

recordered by card index system which has grown to over

2,500 cards (specimen attached).
